Mike Balance has been involved in the electronic music world for more than half of his life. He discovered Houston’s electronic dance scene at the age of 14 and by 16, he was making noise of his own. Three years later, Mike attended his first underground warehouse party in Austin, and was changed forever. When Mike moved to Boise, ID less than a year later, he continued to produce electronic music, started DJing and helped create the underground dance scene there by throwing some of the city’s first parties.
Over the past few years, Mike’s productions have appeared on several widely distributed mixed CDs including DJ Dan’s “Mixed Live”, “Lift” and Richard Vission’s “Automatic” in addition to landing on the charts of Bad Boy Bill, Angel Alanis, Charles Feelgood and Vitamin D. Recently Mike’s original and remix work has appeared on labels such as In Stereo, Blow Media, Solmatic and Audacious. Mike’s tracks have hit the top ten hot sellers on both Beatport.com and DanceRecords.com.
In early 2008 Mike relocated to Los Angeles, CA to pursue his musical vision and to work with the In Stereo crew on their ever-evolving label and the future of the house music sound… and this is just the start! Be on the look out for MB to be making plenty of noise in the near future at a club or music shop near you!
