Vanessa Daou is known internationally for her signature breathy vocal style. The multi-talented singer/songwriter, poet, multi-media artist and dancer has garnered praise for her poetic and introspective lyrics. On each of her albums, she has explored her musical influences & mixed them into her own unique hybrid brew of Jazz, Blues, Rock, Folk & Electronica. In 2004, her music was featured in the Samuel Goldwyn French film Lila Says (based on the bestselling 1996 novel Lila Dit Ca). Writer and Director Ziad Doueiri was heavily inspired by Vanessa’s music and prominently featured several songs throughout the seductive story of sexual awakening.
